BSA Thunderbolt Adventure Bike Makes Global Debut At EICMA 2025 – India Launch Soon

BSA Motorcycles revealed its first-ever adventure bike, the Thunderbolt at EICMA 2025 . This marks a new chapter for the brand as it blends its old-school charm with modern technology to take on today’s competitive ADV (Adventure) segment.

The BSA Thunderbolt is built on the same platform as the Yezdi Adventure, combining classic design with rugged performance. This bike is powered by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which produces 29.2 bhp and 29.9 Nm of torque and paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine meets Euro 5+ emission norms, which means it is cleaner and more efficient. This setup is ideal for both daily commutes and long-distance rides, whether on smooth tarmac or rocky trails.

When it comes to performance, the Thunderbolt doesn’t hold back, as it includes traction control and dual-channel ABS with three riding modes – Road, Rain and Off-Road. This allows riders to adapt easily to changing terrains. The suspension system is adventure-ready, featuring USD front forks with 200mm travel and a rear monoshock with 180mm travel which ensures stability on bumpy roads.

Visually, the Thunderbolt has a tall stance, a rally-style front beak and wire-spoke wheels which are 21-inch front and 17-inch rear, packed in dual-purpose tyres. It is clearly designed for serious adventure riding. The 15.5-litre fuel tank promises long-distance capability, while features an adjustable windscreen, Bluetooth-enabled display with navigation and USB charging port.

This bike weighs 185kg and with a seat height of 815mm, it strikes a good balance between comfort and capability. BSA plans to launch the Thunderbolt globally in mid-2026, with an India launch soon after.
With its retro-inspired looks, strong performance and accessible size, the BSA Thunderbolt could be the perfect entry point for new adventure riders.
