Brother vs brother fight in Bihar elections 2025: Tej Pratap roars in Tejashwi’s stronghold, elder brother is not left behind.

In Bihar elections 2025, a political war has broken out between Lalu’s sons Tejashwi and Tej Pratap. In response to Tejashwi’s campaign in Mahua, Tej Pratap will now campaign against him in his traditional seat Raghopur. This family dispute has now come out in the open.

This time in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the fight is not just between political alliances, but a political Mahabharata has also broken out within the clan of Lalu Prasad Yadav, the largest political family of the state. Lalu’s two sons, Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, have now come out openly against each other on the election front. This political battle has focused on Mahua and Raghopur seats of Vaishali district, which are considered political strongholds of the Lalu family.

Tejashwi gave open challenge in Mahua

The controversy deepened when Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav reached Mahua seat on Sunday to campaign. His elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav is contesting from this seat under the banner of his new party Jantantra Jan Dal (JJD), while RJD has fielded Mukesh Roshan.

While addressing the public meeting, Tejashwi Yadav gave a measured but strong message against his elder brother. Appealing to the voters, he said, “Nobody is bigger than the party. The one to whom Lalu ji has given the ticket is the party’s candidate, hence no one should be under any illusion. Let RJD win from Mahua by lighting lanterns and strengthen the party.”

Tejashwi’s arrival in Mahua campaign was a topic of discussion for many days, as there were speculations that he would avoid campaigning against his brother due to family prestige. However, after reaching Mahua, he made it clear that for him, party discipline is above family.

Tej Pratap’s emotional counterattack on ‘Nadan Bhai’

Tej Pratap Yadav also immediately and emotionally retaliated on this statement of Tejashwi. Addressing his younger brother directly, he said that his innocent brother probably does not know that in a democracy, the people are the biggest. Tej Pratap said, “Our younger and innocent brother Tejashwi said in Mahua that no one is bigger than the party, but we want to tell our younger brother that in a democracy, the people are the biggest and not any party or family. Mahua is our workplace, which is greater than the party and family for us.” Tej Pratap also clarified that the party is only a system, while the people are their master, and he is confident that the people of Mahua will make him victorious with huge votes.

Now there will be ‘counter attack’ in Raghopur

The family dispute has now entered the second phase. According to sources, Tej Pratap Yadav has decided to campaign in Raghopur, the traditional seat of Tejashwi Yadav. This seat is considered to be the stronghold of Lalu-Rabri family and Tejashwi Yadav is contesting from here.

Tej Pratap had already said that if Tejashwi comes to Mahua, he will go to Raghopur. Now it has been decided to implement this statement. Tej Pratap going to Raghopur and campaigning against his brother will turn this family feud into a one-on-one fight. This brother vs brother battle taking place on these two hot seats of Bihar has made the electoral field even more interesting, and all eyes are now on Tej Pratap’s counter campaign to be held in Raghopur.
