In Meerut’s Pyarelal Sharma District Hospital, an accused has been accused of refusing treatment to a girl for calling the doctor “bhaiya”. After the incident, Bharatiya Kisan Union staged a protest. The girl became agitated due to dizziness and assurance of investigation and action was given.

While patients reach the hospital with the hope of relief, if instead of respect and sympathy they get conflict, then the matter reaches the streets. A similar scene was seen in Meerut’s Pyarelal Sharma District Hospital on Monday, when a dispute related to the treatment of a child turned into a huge uproar and Bharatiya Kisan Union workers sat on strike.

Farmer leader came to get his daughter treated, controversy started

According to the information, Bharatiya Kisan Union official Bittu Jangethi had taken his six-year-old daughter Shivanshi to the district hospital straight from school due to complaint of headache. After getting the prescription made, he reached OPD to see the pediatrician. It is alleged that during this time, he respectfully addressed the doctor as “Bhaiya” and requested to see the girl, on which the doctor got angry.

Refusal of treatment and allegations of indecency

The farmer union alleges that the doctor reprimanded Bittu, refused to treat the girl and also threw away the form while being rude. Not only this, Bittu and his daughter were thrown out of the OPD and the police along with the hospital guard were also called.

Farmers union surrounded SIC

As soon as information about the incident was received, District President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Anurag Chaudhary reached the district hospital along with the workers. He complained about the entire matter to SIC. As the matter escalated, farmers union workers sat on strike there. There was chaos in the hospital premises for hours.

Girl felt dizzy, increased anxiety

Meanwhile, Shivanshi, who was present in the hospital, suddenly felt dizzy, due to which there was chaos. After this the doctors started treating the girl. During this time, Delhi Gate police station was also present on the spot.

Hospital administration apologized, assured of action

To calm the matter, Acting Superintendent Yogesh Aggarwal apologized with folded hands in front of the farmer union workers and assured to investigate the entire incident and take action against the culprit. After this the protest ended.

The matter calmed down after the agreement

After talks between both the parties, it was agreed that senior doctor BP Kaushik would be responsible for any problem related to the farmers. Besides, the behavior with the patients and attendants in the hospital will be improved and action will be taken against the employees who misbehave.
