Bread, cloth, house .. Where is getting the most benefit from the new GST? This is the answer

There has been a huge change in GST rates from 22 September.

The government has recently made a big change in the rates of GST, which has come into force from 22 September. Tax has been reduced on about 400 things. Now the question arises that how much the common people are getting its real advantage and what is the most relief. To find out this, an organization named Local Circles recently conducted a survey. More than 78 thousand people participated in this survey and told where they benefited the most after changes in GST. According to the survey, the car buyers have got the most benefit. At the same time, tax on packed food and medicines has decreased, but its effect has not reached more people. Meaning, there was no much difference in the price of these things.

The most benefits of car buyers

According to the survey, 76% of those who buy the car said that they GST The cut has got full benefit. At the same time, 24% of the people said that they benefited to some extent. This means that 9 out of every 10 people who bought cars felt the direct benefit of tax cuts.

Similarly, about 68% of those who bought electronic goods and home appliances (such as TV, fridge, washing machine etc.) admitted that they benefited from decreasing GST rate. Of these, 34% got full benefit, while 33% benefited a bit. However, 33% of the people said they did not feel any difference.

Packed food, not getting benefit on medicines

According to the survey, even after the GST on packed food was reduced, only 10% of the people said that they got full benefit. 21% of the people felt a little advantage, while 47% clearly said that they did not show any difference. The remaining 21% people did not answer this question. Things are similar in the case of medicines. Only 10% of the people said that they got full advantage of tax deduction, 24% felt a little profit, but 62% people say that the price of drugs did not decrease. That is, even though the tax has decreased, but its effect in everyday essential things like packed food and medicines is not reaching most people.

Shopkeepers are not giving cheap things by telling old goods

Many shopkeepers are not selling goods at a cheaper price even after cutting GST rates. When customers go to shops to buy everyday things like biscuits, salty, oil, soap, shampoo or toffee, they are not getting any benefit of new rates. Shopkeepers are still selling goods at the same old rate.

The government has reduced the tax on many things from September 22, which was expected that their prices will also be reduced. But the ground reality is that shopkeepers are avoiding giving discounts to customers. They say that they have an old stock, which was purchased at the earlier tax rate. If they sell cheap now, they will have a loss.

Customers are angry with this and feel cheated. At the same time, the shopkeepers say that as soon as new goods come, we will sell it at a new price. They have no other option for now.

If you are not getting cheap, you can complain

At the same time, the government says that if the shopkeepers are selling things at the old rate even after the GST is reduced and you are not getting the benefit of cheap prices, then you can complain about it. There is not much trouble for this – just call on toll free number 1915 and get your complaint filed. If you want, you can also complain on WhatsApp. For this, the government has given number 8800001915, on which you can send a message and say your point.
