Brajesh Pathak’s big statement, “Akhilesh is insulting Jaiprakash Narayan by going with Congress.” Brajesh Pathak On Akhilesh Yadav Sapa Congress Alliance

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak while attacking Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav said that SP has always been against democracy. He said that SP is now with the same Congress which had imposed emergency on the country. BJP will continue to protect democracy.

The war of words has once again intensified in the political arena. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak made a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and alleged that SP has nothing to do with democracy and the Constitution. Pathak said that today SP stands in alliance with the same Congress which had once trampled democracy by imposing emergency on the country.

“SP has always been anti-democracy”

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the politics of Samajwadi Party is limited only to getting power. He said, “This is the same SP which talks about democracy, but both its behavior and alliance are anti-democratic. Today Akhilesh Yadav is joining hands with the same Congress which had put a democratic warrior like Jayaprakash Narayan in jail.” Brajesh Pathak said that this double face of SP is not hidden from the public. “On one hand they garland the statue of Jayaprakash Narayan ji, on the other hand they share the stage with those who sent him to jail – this is the reality and political hypocrisy of SP.”

“SP has nothing to do with democracy or the Constitution”

The Deputy Chief Minister said that SP’s thinking is not democratic, but familyist and selfish. He said, “Akhilesh Yadav’s politics is limited only to his family and power. SP is neither concerned about the nation nor about the dignity of the Constitution. Whereas BJP is working in the service of the public by following the Constitution made by Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.”

“BJP is always at the forefront in protecting democracy”

Brajesh Pathak reminded that during the Emergency, when the country’s democracy was in danger, hundreds of workers of Jan Sangh and RSS, the core ideology of BJP, had gone to jail. He said, “BJP is celebrating the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan ji throughout the country because we are working to keep his ideals alive. Whereas SP is standing with the Congress which had strangled democracy.” He said that SP has betrayed the ideals of Jayaprakash Narayan and is engaged in bargaining for power by forging an alliance with Congress. “The public knows everything, they will decide who is the real protector of democracy,” Pathak said.

“BJP is committed to serving the people and protecting the Constitution.”

At the end of his statement, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, “BJP’s aim is not just power, but service to the nation. We will continue to work for public welfare, transparency and in accordance with the dignity of the Constitution. Parties like SP want to take the country backward, but the public has now woken up.”

This statement has come at a time when the talk of alliance of opposition parties is in full swing in the state politics. BJP has described the closeness of SP and Congress as a “danger bell” for democracy, while Akhilesh Yadav has termed it as a “reaction born out of fear of power”.
