Bangladesh cricket crisis: On one hand, Bangladesh Cricket Board is messing with the Indian Cricket Board before the T20 World Cup, while on the other hand, it is now facing insult at the hands of its own players. Actually, a cricket crisis has arisen in Bangladesh and the reason for this is the Bangladesh Cricket Board itself. In fact, there is tension between the Bangladesh Cricket Board and Bangladesh Cricketers’ Welfare Association and the players’ association is demanding the resignation of BCB Finance Committee Chairman Nazmul Hasan. The players say that they will not come on the field until Nazmul Hasan is removed.
Why the demand for Nazmul Hasan’s resignation?
They are demanding the resignation of Bangladesh cricketer Nazmul Hasan regarding one of his statements. Nazmul Hasan had said that if Bangladesh withdraws from the T20 World Cup, it will not matter to the players but to the board, it does not matter. Not only this, he had declared Bangladesh’s legendary player Tamim Iqbal as an agent of India, after which the cricketers there became very angry.

What did Nazmul Hasan say?
Nazmul Hasan had said that if Bangladesh did not play in the T20 World Cup, he would not give any compensation to the players. He had said, ‘Why should we pay compensation? If they are unable to go anywhere and do anything, then do we ask them to return the crores of rupees spent on them? After this statement of Nazmul Hasan, there is a demand for his resignation and now its impact is on Bangladesh Cricket League.
He said that if Bangladesh is out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, the board will not suffer any financial loss. Only the players will suffer losses because they will not receive match fees. Earlier, Nazmul had attacked former captain Tamim Iqbal by calling him an Indian agent. Tamim had advised the board to be careful in the decision of going to India for the T20 World Cup and to give priority to cricket, after which Nazmul called him a part of Indian propaganda.
