Box office report: Dhurandhar 2 dominates, Ustaad Bhagat Singh crosses Rs 50 crore

Mumbai: Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been getting amazing responses. Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, has still got to do some catching up to do. Here are the box office reports of these films.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge box office

The film starring Ranveer Singh crossed Rs 100 crore on the opening day on March 19, making it the biggest Bollywood opener. Since then, the film has made massive jumps in numbers. On day 3, the film collected Rs 113 crore net. The film’s total domestic collection of three days is now at Rs 296.27 crore. Meanwhile, the spy thriller is doing equally well globally, too. The overseas gross is estimated at Rs 96.50 crore, making it a total of 501.04 crore. In the coming days, the film is expected to continue to climb.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge became the highest-ever paid preview collection for an Indian film after making Rs 47 crore. Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Iqbal play pivotal roles in the film.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh box office

The release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna and R Parthiban, clashed with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge. On Saturday, the film garnered Rs 9.15 crore net in India on Saturday. The film had 3340 shows and registered 36% occupancy rate on Saturday. In three days, the domestic collection crossed Rs 50 crore. However, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is not doing as well as Pawan’s previous films, HHVM and OG.

The film, helmed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is an adaptation of Atlee’s 2016 film Theri, starring Vijay. The songs of the movie were composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
