Kara box office collection
Dhanush’s latest Tamil film Kara registered a stable opening day. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 5.75 crore net in India, with a domestic gross of Rs 6.64 crore. Overseas markets added another Rs 2.50 crore, taking the worldwide gross to Rs 9.14 crore on Day 1.
The Tamil version dominated collections, contributing Rs 4.65 crore with around 27 percent occupancy across 2,866 shows. The Telugu version added Rs 1.10 crore but recorded slightly lower attendance. Directed by Vignesh Raja, the film follows a former thief forced back into crime after a bank threatens to seize his ancestral land. The cast also includes K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaram and Karunas.

KD: The Devil box office collection
Meanwhile, Dhruva Sarja’s action drama KD: The Devil has opened on a moderate note. The film collected Rs 3.50 crore net in India on its first day, with a domestic gross of Rs 4.10 crore.
Directed by Prem, the film features a multi-starrer lineup including Sanjay Dutt, Kichcha Sudeep, and Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Occupancy improved during night shows, signalling potential growth over the weekend.

Michael box office collection in India
Hollywood’s Michael, starring Jaafar Jackson as Michael Jackson, continues to attract Indian audiences. The biopic earned Rs 2.50 crore on its seventh day, taking its India net total to Rs 26.05 crore. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film traces Jackson’s rise from his early days with the Jackson 5 to his global superstardom.

Bhooth Bangla box office collection
In Bollywood, Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy Bhooth Bangla continues its strong theatrical run. The film collected Rs 3.40 crore on Day 14, pushing its India net total to Rs 128.05 crore. Its worldwide gross now stands at Rs 204.28 crore.
The film reunites Akshay Kumar with director Priyadarshan after more than 15 years.

Dhurandhar 2 box office collection
Despite newer releases, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge remains the year’s biggest box office performer. The film added around Rs 1.10 crore on Day 43, taking its India net total to Rs 1,135.04 crore and its worldwide gross to Rs 1,782.15 crore.
