Box office collection [April 23, 2026]: Dhurandhar 2 slips on Day 36 while Bhooth Bangla nears Rs 100 crore

Box office collection: The Hindi box office is witnessing a shifting battle as Dhurandhar: The Revenge begins to slow down while Bhooth Bangla continues to pull audiences in its opening week. Meanwhile, Dacoit: A Love Story maintains a modest but steady run at theatres.

After dominating theatres for weeks, the spy thriller led by Ranveer Singh has finally begun to lose momentum at the box office. The film completed Day 36 with its lowest daily earnings so far, collecting approximately Rs 1.40 crore net in India.

Dhurandhar 2 box office collection

According to early estimates from trade tracker Sacnilk, the film closed its fifth week with earnings of around Rs 19.37 crore net, while its gross weekly total reached Rs 23.08 crore.

Despite the slowdown, the film’s overall numbers remain massive. So far, it has earned an estimated Rs 1,122.49 crore net in India and Rs 1,343.56 crore in gross collections domestically. Overseas markets have added about Rs 422.50 crore, taking the global tally to roughly Rs 1,766.06 crore.

The production house claims the film’s worldwide gross has already crossed Rs 1,783 crore, cementing its place among the highest-grossing Indian films in recent years.

Bhooth Bangla box office collection

While the spy thriller slows down, Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy is gaining traction. Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla has performed strongly during its first week despite mixed reviews.

On Day 7, the film collected Rs 5.15 crore net across more than 10,500 shows nationwide. This pushed its India net total to Rs 84.05 crore and India gross to Rs 99.95 crore. Overseas markets contributed another Rs 2 crore on Day 7, raising the film’s international total to Rs 35.50 crore. Its worldwide gross now stands at approximately Rs 135.45 crore.

Dacoit continues box office collection

Meanwhile, Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s film Dacoit: A Love Story continues its second-week run with stable numbers. The film has collected Rs 33.96 crore net in India so far, with a domestic gross of Rs 39.09 crore. Overseas markets have contributed Rs 13.50 crore, taking the worldwide gross total to Rs 52.59 crore.

Although its daily collections have dipped slightly, earning Rs 34 lakh on Day 14, the film has already recovered its budget and remains profitable for its makers.
