Father attacks son with rod over luxury car dispute in Thiruvananthapuram. The 28-year-old son died during treatment. The police have arrested the accused father, who will now be tried for murder.
Thiruvananthapuram: The son died after his father hit him on the head during a fight over a luxury car. He lost his life during treatment. Ritwik (28) died during treatment at a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. The son attacked his father while demanding money to buy a luxury car. After this, in anger the father hit his son on the head with an iron rod. In this case, Ritwik’s father Vinayanandan was arrested by Vanchiyur police. After the death of his son, other sections including murder will now be imposed on Vinayanandan. This incident happened on the 9th of last month. Ritwik had suffered serious head injuries.
Police say that the son often quarreled at home over his demand for a luxury car worth lakhs. Vinayanand had bought his son a bike worth lakhs. But, there were often disputes in the house regarding the demand for a luxury car. On the 9th of last month, during an argument over this issue, the son attacked his father. According to the police, after this the father got angry and attacked the son with an iron rod. In this incident, Vanchiyur police had registered a case against father Vinayanandan.
Vinayanandan, who absconded after the incident, was later arrested. A few days before the incident, father Vinayanand had bought a luxury bike worth Rs 15 lakh to son Ritwik. But, Ritwik’s next demand was for a luxury car. When the father said that his financial condition was not good right now, the son got angry. There was a big fight and scuffle between the two on this issue.
