Based on the India-Pakistan War of 1971, the film stars Sunny Deol as Lieutenant Colonel Fateh Singh Kaler, the commanding officer of young soldiers played by Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana have also played important roles. According to Sacnilk, Border 2 has so far grossed ₹95.75 crore globally, indicating a strong commercial performance and the audience’s excitement towards the patriotic movie.
