Border 2 Day 7 Advance Booking: Roar of ‘Border 2’, trade pundits surprised to see advance booking!

Sunny Deol starrer war drama ‘Border 2’ may not have brought a historical tsunami like ‘Gadar 2’, but its hold at the box office remains very strong. Even on the seventh day of its release, the film is heading towards great earnings and the first week’s collection is expected to be strong.

‘Border 2’ has not yet faced competition from any big Bollywood release, which is clearly benefiting it. Till Republic Day, the film was running in more than 16,000 shows across the country. The number of shows has decreased slightly on weekdays, yet on Thursday the film is being shown in approximately 15,300 shows. With such a large screen count, it is clear that the film can make strong collections even in low occupancy.

For the seventh day, ‘Border 2’ has earned around Rs 3.95 crore from advance booking. There is a decline of about 15% as compared to 4.65 crores on the sixth day, which is considered normal for a weekday. Trade experts believe that spot booking in mass circuits will further strengthen the film. Can earn Rs 13 crore net. If this happens, the first week of the film will end with very strong figures.

Yash Raj Films’ ‘Mardaani 3’ is being released on January 30, due to which the shows of ‘Border 2’ may be reduced. However, trade experts believe that this is unlikely to have a major impact on the film’s earnings. Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh are seen in important roles. The film is produced by T-Series and J.P. Films have done it together. Its budget is said to be around Rs 275 crore.
