Ravi Teja has begun work on his new film, “Thulabharam”, directed by Vivek Athreya. The makers unveiled the title video, introduced the principal cast and held the film’s launch ceremony. While Ravi Teja’s remuneration is one of the talking points surrounding the project, the paycheck reportedly offered to its female lead, Priyanka Arul Mohan, is also drawing attention.
Following the success of “Irumudi”, Ravi Teja is reportedly commanding a much higher price. His remuneration for “Thulabharam” is said to be around Rs 40 crore, including his fee and stake in the film’s business.
Priyanka Arul Mohan, meanwhile, is said to have secured her career-best remuneration for the film. According to industry sources, the actress sought a substantial hike compared with what she received for her previous projects.
Priyanka was part of “OG”, starring Pawan Kalyan, which emerged as a blockbuster last year. She has not signed another Telugu film since then and has reportedly been waiting for a project that offers both a strong role and a significant hike in remuneration.
Director Vivek Athreya reportedly only wanted Priyanka to play the female lead in “Thulabharam”. The producers are said to have agreed to her higher remuneration, making the project a notable deal for the actress. However, the exact figures have not been officially disclosed.
