If you also like to eat water chestnuts, then boil them at home instead of buying them boiled from outside. Often, when boiled at home, they either become overcooked or remain raw. Cook water chestnuts in cooker in just 1 whistle
- First wash the water chestnuts thoroughly in water and then put them in the cooker.
 - Now fill the water chestnut with so much water that it reaches half its level. After this, also add chopped small lemon in it. By doing this, water chestnut marks will not remain on the cooker.
 - Cook water chestnuts in the cooker till one whistle. As soon as you turn off the gas, remove about half the pressure by lifting the whistle. By doing this the water chestnuts will not be overcooked nor will they remain raw.
 - After this, when the pressure cooker opens, take out all the water chestnuts and after they cool down, remove the peel with the help of a knife. You can eat them with green coriander chutney.

Make delicious snacks from boiled water chestnuts
You can cool the boiled water chestnuts and keep them in the refrigerator and use them for a week. If you want, make water chestnut chaat as a snack. For this, put ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, some chopped onion and fry till it gets lightly fried. Now add water chestnuts to it and then fry. Add salt, black pepper powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and some garam masala as per taste and fry it. Now you can also add some green chutney to it. Take it out in a plate and serve it with chopped coriander.
