BJP’s historic performance in Mumbai

Out of total 227 seats of BMC, BJP alliance seems to get 118 seats. Of these, BJP has 90 seats and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has 28 seats. In this way, Mahayuti has crossed the majority mark of 114 and Mumbai is looking completely saffron.
For the first time BJP will make Mumbai mayor
With the victory in BMC elections, BJP has reached the position of making its own mayor in Mumbai for the first time. Till now no one from BJP has become mayor in the history of BMC. The party is going to achieve this historic achievement after 45 years of its formation.
Congress wins in Latur, lead in Chandrapur too
Congress has registered a spectacular victory in Latur Municipal Corporation. Congress has captured 43 out of total 70 seats here. At the same time, Congress is also leading in Chandrapur Municipal Corporation. Apart from this, there is influence of other parties in some municipal corporations, in which Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) is leading in Parbhani Municipal Corporation. At the same time, Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (VBA) has got the lead in Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation. Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena remains ahead in Malegaon Municipal Corporation.
