Blue Energy Motors launches battery-swap station for electric trucks

Blue Energy Motors, a leading green truck brand, in partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, has operationalised Bhiwandi’s first battery-swap station for electric heavy-duty trucks.

Located in one of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s key logistics and warehousing hubs, the facility strengthens the infrastructure supporting the adoption of electric heavy-duty trucks and extends the Mumbai–Pune Electric Freight Corridor, launched by Blue Energy Motors in October 2025.

The station enables battery swapping for BEM’s electric heavy-duty trucks in less than five minutes, helping minimise charging downtime and improve fleet utilisation.

Beyond electric trucking, the facility integrates battery-swapping infrastructure with an EV charging station accessible to the public.

The charging infrastructure will cater to electric two-wheelers, four-wheelers and commercial vehicles, extending its relevance beyond freight and creating a multi-segment EV energy hub within HPCL’s established retail network.

Anand Mimani, CEO – EV & New Energy Business, Blue Energy Motors said the partnership with HPCL brings together the company’s strength to build the energy infrastructure needed to support this transition.

“This first facility is a meaningful step forward, and we look forward to expanding our network of battery-swapping and charging facilities across key markets, supporting electric trucking and serving the wider EV ecosystem,” he added.

Blue Energy Motors is advancing green freight mobility through its electric and LNG-powered heavy-duty truck solutions.

With over 1,400 green heavy-duty trucks operating across key freight routes in India, the company has crossed 150 million green kilometres on Indian roads, helping reduce carbon emissions by over 44,000 tonnes—equivalent to the carbon absorption of approximately 1.8 million trees.
