What is the Bharat Yatra Card

The Bharat Yatra Card is based on the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) system in India and is operating on RuPay. It is launching with Pine Labs and endorses zero-KYC onboarding where a user can start to use the card right after the purchase.

Top up of the card can immediately be done through UPI. This eliminates the use of physical recharge counters or long queues in the metro stations and makes the use of transport easier to people particularly those who use it on a casual basis.

How it works and key features

The card is compatible with NCMC metro and buses. All users need to do is to load the money digitally and swipe the card at the terminals that accept it to pay their fares. Its biggest strength is that it is interoperative and one does not need to carry various cards in different cities.
