The incident of BJP’s flag and hat on the Gandhi statue in Meenapur has increased the warmth in Bihar politics. Tej Pratap Yadav attacked the BJP and the RSS and demanded strict action.
Patna: A new storm came in Bihar politics when a picture of BJP flag, strap and hat on the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Ramakrishna High School in Meenapur, Muzaffarpur went viral on social media. This incident spread outrage across the state and the Bharatiya Janata Party came on the target of the opposition. The political temperature increased further when the founder of Janashakti Janata Dal Tej Pratap Yadav himself reached Meenapur and purified the Gandhi statue with milk, anointed with water and garlanded it.
Tej Pratap Yadav’s direct attack on BJP-RSS
Tej Pratap Yadav said directly to the BJP and the RSS, saying, “Meenapur is the land of martyrs, here the personalities like Gandhiji will never be tolerated. Those who also put a flag and cap on the Gandhi statue, strict action should be taken against them.” Tej Pratap called the BJP a coward and a traitor and said that history would not forgive them.
He wrote through his X (X) post, “A few days ago, the incident of BJP and RSS leaders and workers on the Gandhi statue at the gate of Ramakrishna High School, Muzaffarpur is very tragic. It is a country of knights. But this BJP will never forgive them.
Opposition sharp opposition, BJP told conspiracy
After the incident, RJD MLA Rajiv Kumar alias Munna Yadav also demonstrated, purified the Gandhi statue with Ganga water and removed the BJP’s flag and put the tricolor. Congress and other opposition parties also criticized the BJP and passed a condemnation resolution. BJP leaders termed the incident as a conspiracy of the opposition and described themselves as different from it. The district BJP president said, “Gandhiji is the ideal of the whole country, action should be taken against those who do so.”
Administration strict, investigation of case continues
Police issued a statement saying that investigation has been started on the basis of viral photos and videos. The suspects are being identified and no anti -social element will be spared.
