BJP MP Sandeep Pathak, ex-AAP leader, may be arrested; Punjab Police in Delhi: Sources

New Delhi: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak may be arrested, with Punjab Police teams currently in Delhi, according to sources.

Pathak was among the seven Rajya Sabha MPs who switched from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to BJP recently. Two FIRs under non-bailable sections have been registered against him in different districts of Punjab.

Police teams from Punjab have reached Delhi in connection with the cases, however, there has been no official confirmation on the timing of any possible arrest.

Pathak, once a close aide of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, joined BJP along with Raghav Chadha, Swati Maliwal among others last month.
