Adeep depression over the northwest Bay of Bengal, coupled with an active monsoon trough, is set to influence weather conditions across Bihar, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting widespread rainfall and thunderstorms on July 28.
Heavy Rainfall Warning For Five Districts
The weather department has predicted a heavy rainfall alert for 5 districts over South West Bihar:
– Kaimur
– Aurangabad
– Gaya
– Arwal
– Jehanabad
Apart from heavy rainfall warnings, the districts of North West, North East, South West and South East Bihar are on alert for thundershowers, accompanied by lightning, and 30-40 kmph gusts of wind.
Region-Wise Rainfall Prediction
– South West Bihar: All or most parts over Rohtas, Kaimur(Bhabua), Bhojpur, Buxar, Arwal, and Aurangabad are expected to witness a few showers of rain.
– North West, North East and South East Bihar: Very isolated light showers over western Champaran, eastern Champaran, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Bhagalpur and Munger.
– North-Central and South-Central Bihar: Very light, very isolated showers over Patan, Nalanda, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Gaya and surrounding areas.
Temperature Prediction
The maximum temperatures over Bihar for July 28 are expected to range between 32 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius, with SW and SC Bihar expected to witness the hotter end of the spectrum at 34-36 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature over the entire state is expected to range from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.
