Bihar Weather Update Today 17th Dec: There are continuous changes in weather patterns in the month of December. At some places, cold wave and dense fog and low visibility have disrupted normal life. According to the Meteorological Department, there is going to be severe cold in entire Bihar including the capital Patna. A continuous drop in temperature may be seen for the next 6 days. Actually, a new western disturbance is active in the western Himalayan region. Its direct effect will be visible in the form of increasing cold in the plains of Bihar from December 17 itself.
How will the weather be in Bihar today?
According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Patna, the capital of Bihar, a blanket of dense fog can be seen in Gaya, East Champaran, West Champaran, Katihar, Araria, Kishanganj, Buxar, Bhojpur, Purnia on December 17. Along with this, cold wave alert has been issued in Muzaffarpur, Vaishali and Gopalganj.
Chilling cold in Bihar after 22 December
There is a possibility of cold wave in different parts of Bihar after December 22, due to which the cold will be very severe at night. The Meteorological Department estimates that after December 22, ‘cold day’ like conditions may arise in some districts of Bihar due to cold wave. This means that the maximum temperature of the day is also likely to go much below normal. During this period, the minimum temperature in Saran, Bhagalpur, East Champaran, Buxar, Gaya and Sitamarhi districts may remain around 8 to 10 degrees.
