Bihar Flood 2025: The Bagmati river is once again on the path of destruction in Aurai block of Muzaffarpur district. On Tuesday, the Chachari bridge on the northern sub -section of Bagmati in Babhnagama Eastern Tola was swept away at around 12 noon under heavy water pressure. In this dangerous situation, the bridge operators Mahendra Sahni and Satyanarayana Sahni tried to save some parts from Bamboo-Balli, but the river flow was so fast that all efforts became useless. Now the villagers have the only support left with the villagers.

Water level increased by three feet, water is spreading rapidly

The northern and southern sub -sections of Bagmati have increased water by about three feet. Especially in the Atar area, the southern sub -section has now become the mainstream, due to which the water is rapidly spreading in the surrounding villages. The ever -increasing water level of Bagmati in Benabad region has increased the possibility of erosion on the embankment. The team of Path Division-2 is keeping a close watch on the security of the embankment under the supervision of Executive Engineer Omprakash.

Crisis on Pipa bridge in Bakuchi, contact interrupted

Traffic was completely stalled for three hours after climbing water on the right approach of the Pipa bridge on the Bagmati river in Bakuchi in Katra region. The movement of light vehicles started after repair, but four -wheelers are still not able to pass through that route. Due to this, 14 panchayats in the northern part have lost contact with the headquarters.

Demand for boat increased, prices started touching sky

In view of the rapid deteriorating situation, the demand for boats has suddenly increased. People are coming to buy small boats from far and wide. The price of a boat has reached 40 to 50 thousand rupees. Due to low boats, small boats have now become a lifeline of these villagers. CO Madhumita Kumari said that the administration is keeping an eye on all the affected areas. Reports are being sought from everywhere and relief and rescue operations will be started if needed.
