Slamming comments on the opposition and praising the NDA’s approach towards the Bihar assembly election, BJP chief JP Nadda on Thursday said that the assembly elections in will be a fight between `Vikas` (development) of the NDA and `Vinaash` (destruction) of the INDIA bloc.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda, while addressing a rally in Aurangabad district, lashed out at the Congress. Nadda accused the Congress of being a “parasitic party that finishes off its junior alliance partners,” as cited by news agency PTI.
The senior BJP leader also slammed RJD, emphasising that the Lalu Prasad-led party stands for `Rangdari` (extortion), `Jungleraj` (anarchy) and `Dadagiri` (intimidation).
Making light of Tejashwi Yadav`s promise to provide employment to youngsters and check out-migration, JP Nadda said that such promises reminded him of the party`s alleged involvement in the land-for-jobs scam.
The Union Health Minister also lashed out at for giving a ticket to gangster-turned-politician, the late Md Shahabuddin`s son Osama, in the upcoming polls, stating it showed how concerned the party is for Bihar, as per PTI.
On the contrary, earlier during the day, the INDIA bloc declared RJD leader and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav as their chief ministerial candidate for the Bihar assembly elections.
While making the announcement at a press conference, the INDIA bloc also announced that Mukesh Sahni will be the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate for the assembly polls. The press conference in Patna was attended by all coalition partners, including senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, during the press conference, asserted that the decision to announce Tejashwi Yadav as the CM candidate was backed by his party`s de facto leader, Rahul Gandhi and national president Mallikarjun Kharge, as per PTI.
Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot also said that “Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) chief would be one of the deputy chief ministers if the INDIA bloc forms the government, along with “another leader from the backward classes” who would occupy the same post,” as cited by news agency PTI.
Slamming the INDIA bloc, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said that the opposition in Bihar has “no mission or vision”.
While talking to the media on Thursday, Poonawala asserted that “Mahagathbandhan has no mission or vision; there is only division and confusion. Today, the Mahagathbandhan will hold a joint PC, but pictures of only Tejashwi Yadav can be seen at the venue. They have deleted Rahul Gandhi and other leaders from the photos. Does RJD consider Rahul Gandhi a liability? Till yesterday, Pappu Yadav was claiming that Rahul Gandhi is the face of Mahagathbandhan. Till yesterday, Congress was claiming to be the big brother, but now they are nowhere to be seen,” as cited by news agency ANI.
