According to sources, the party had already issued symbols to many of these candidates, while the official announcement was made late on Thursday night.

Congress has included the first and second phase seats in this list. The party has tried to strike a balance between Seemanchal, Magadh, Tirhut and Mithilanchal. Among the 48 candidates of the party, 5 women candidates, 4 Muslim candidates, more than 10 seats have been given to Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
