The dates of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 have been announced. Voting will be held on 6 November and 11 November in two phases. The results will be announced on 14 November with counting.
Patna: Bihar Assembly Elections have been conductive for 2025. This time elections will be held in two phases in the state, in which the first phase will be held on 6 November and the second phase will be held on 11 November. At the same time, on November 14, there will be a counting and on the same day it will be decided who will occupy the power of Bihar.
This time the first phase will vote in 121 assembly seats in the state, which are spread in 16 districts. This phase will be the ‘mood set -set’, as it includes the strongholds of the veterans of the power, Nitish Kumar’s Harnaut and Tejashwi Yadav’s Raghopur.
Bihar elections will be voted in these districts on November 6 in the first phase of 2025
The districts where voting will be held in the first phase are, Patna, Nalanda, Bhojpur, Buxar, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Khagaria, Munger, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Saran, Vaishali and Samastipur.
- Patna District (14 seats) – Draft (SC), Paliganj, Bikram, Maner, Phulwari Sharif (SC), Digha, Bankipur, Kumhara, Patna Sahib, Fatuha, Flood, Mokama, Danapur, Bakhtiyarpur. The seats of the capital Patna indicate power every time. Here BJP, JDU and RJD, the credibility of the three is at stake.
- Nalanda District (7 seats) – Harnaut, Asthawan (SC), Islampur, Hilsa, Nalanda, Rajgir (SC), Biharsharif. Due to CM Nitish Kumar’s home district, there will be a fight for prestige for the NDA, while the Grand Alliance will try to establish its grip.
- Bhojpur District (7 seats) – Ara, Agiaan (SC), Shahpur, Barhra, Jagdishpur, Tarari, Sandesh. The political history of Bhojpur has been full of struggles. The influence from left parties to BJP is seen here.
- Buxar District (4 seats) – Buxar, Dumraon, Rajpur (SC), Brahmapur. This district is a border area and gives direction to the electoral wave every time.
- Begusarai District (7 seats) – Cheria Bariyarpur, Bakhari (SC), Teghra, Matihani, Begusarai, Bachwara, Save. Begusarai is called ‘Lalgarh of Bihar’. There will be a direct triangular contest between Left, BJP and JDU.
- Muzaffarpur (9 seats) – Sakra (SC), Muzaffarpur, Kudhani, Gaighat, Paru, Baruraj, Bochha (SC), Aurai, Katra. This district of North Bihar is considered politically highly aware. Who wins from here, often he gets closer to power.
- Darbhanga (10 seats) – Ghanshyampur, Benipur, Alinagar, Darbhanga Rural (SC), Darbhanga, Hayaghat, Bahadurpur, Jale, Manigachhi, Sinhawada.
- Gopalganj (6 seats) – Kataya, Baikunthpur, Bhore (SC), Hathua, Gopalganj, Kuchayakot. Gopalganj has been the political work place of Lalu Yadav. Here both RJD’s reputation and NDA’s strategy will be tested.
- Saran (8 seats) – Taraiya, Parsa, Sonpur, Chapra, Garkha (SC), Amanore, Marhaura, Ekma. The seats here become a direct battlefield of Grand Alliance vs NDA every time.
- Vaishali (7 seats) – Mahua, Lalganj, Vaishali, Patepur (SC), Hajipur, Raghopur, Rajapakad. It has a stronghold of Raghopur Tejashwi Yadav. That is, in the first phase itself, the fate of the son of RJD supremo will be closed in EVMs.
- Samastipur (10 seats) – Rosda (SC), Samastipur, Morwa, Sarairanjan, Ujiarpur, Warisnagar, Hasanpur, Sakhaura, Shivajinagar, Bethan. The voting percentage in every election in Samastipur is high. Here women voters can play a decisive role.
- 2 seats in Sheikhpura district, Barbigha, Sheikhpura and 2 seats in Lakhisarai districts. Similarly, 4 seats of Khagaria district will also be voted on Parabatta, Beldaur, Aloli (SC), Khagaria and Munger district on November 6 on 4 seats Jamalpur, Munger, Tarapur, Suryagarh.
- 4 seats of Madhepura Alamnagar (SC), Bihariganj, Madhepura, Sinhawar (SC), this area has always been drawn between Yadav and Bhumihar vote bank. A triangular match is expected here.
Importance of first phase
A total of 2.3 crore voters will exercise their franchise in the first phase. These include around 1.1 crore women and 14 lakh first time voters. The Election Commission has arranged webcasting and CCTV monitoring at all polling stations, and there will be maximum 1200 voters at each booth.
