Voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 is going on on 121 seats in 18 districts. Prime Minister Modi appealed to the voters to cast their vote. The fate of many veterans including Tejashwi Yadav, Khesari Lal Yadav will be decided today.
Patna : The great festival of democracy has started in Bihar. Today (6 November) the process of first phase voting is going on in the state. Voting is being held on 121 assembly seats in a total of 18 districts. Of these, there are 102 general and 19 reserved seats for Scheduled Castes. In the first phase, a direct and exciting contest is being seen between NDA, Grand Alliance and Jan Suraj.
Prime Minister Modi appealed to vote
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the voters of Bihar to participate enthusiastically in this festival of democracy. He wrote on social media platform
The Prime Minister also reiterated in his message “First voting, then refreshments.” He urged the voters to exercise their franchise with full enthusiasm and responsibility.

equation of parties
The equation of major alliances in the first phase of Bihar assembly elections is as follows-
- NDA: BJP is contesting on 48, JDU on 57, LJP (Ram Vilas) on 14, Rashtriya Lok Morcha on 2 seats.
- Grand alliance: RJD is contesting on 73 seats, Congress on 24, CPI(ML) on 14, VIP on 5, CPI on 3, CPI(M) on 5 and IIP on 3 seats.
- Jan Suraj: This alliance has also fielded its candidates on 119 seats.
3.75 crore voters will decide their fate
In the first phase, about 3 crore 75 lakh voters will decide the fate of the candidates for 121 seats. These include 1 crore 98 lakh 35 thousand 325 male voters, 1 crore 76 lakh 77 thousand 298 female voters and 758 third gender voters. Also, 7 lakh 37 thousand 765 young voters (18 to 19 years) will use their franchise for the first time.

The fate of all of them will be captured in EVM today and till the results are declared, the eyes of entire Bihar will be fixed on these seats.
