Patna: Patna district administration has made complete preparations for security, convenience and transparency for the first phase of voting in Bihar Assembly elections 2025. This time many new experiments and special arrangements will be seen. The most important thing is that for the first time, women have been completely deployed in the control room, who will take over the responsibility of conducting and monitoring the elections.

541 women polling stations ready

Keeping women empowerment at the center, this time 541 women polling stations have been set up in Patna. From polling personnel to security forces, only women will be deployed at these booths. In this way, the operation of about 10 percent polling stations will be in the hands of women. Apart from this, there will be 14 special polling centers which will be operated by persons with disabilities. According to the district administration, this initiative is an important step towards “inclusive democracy”.

7 foreign ambassadors will also see the democratic strength of Bihar

On the day of the first phase of voting, the democratic process in Bihar will also be closely watched by foreign delegates. A total of 7 foreign ambassadors will visit various polling stations in Patna and observe the voting arrangements and voter participation. According to the administration, this will be a proof of Bihar’s transparent and modern electoral system.

Glimpses of tourism and culture will also be seen at polling stations

This time the elections will not only be a celebration of democracy but also a celebration of culture. Many polling stations in the city have been decorated on the historical and cultural theme of Bihar. With the help of the Tourism Department, a glimpse of Madhubani painting, Mithila art and folk culture will be seen at these booths.

Rs 12.27 crore seized so far, strict monitoring continues

Under the Election Code of Conduct, cash and precious metals worth Rs 12.27 crore have been seized so far in Patna district. According to the administration, any kind of attempts to influence voters are being closely monitored. Voting will take place from 7 am to 6 pm. Out of total 5665 polling centres, 2099 centers have been kept in ‘critical’ category, where security arrangements have been further strengthened.

Special monitoring in Mokama and flood, continuous patrolling of CAPF

Special deputation of senior officers has been made in sensitive areas like Mokama and Barh. At the same time, patrolling by the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) is continuing in the Tal area. The DM clearly said that those who play with law and order will not be spared. The administration will keep a vigilant watch on every booth and every area. So far, 26 cases of code of conduct violation have been registered, out of which two cases are related to Mokama area.

DM’s appeal: Vote fearlessly

The District Election Officer has appealed to the voters to exercise their franchise fearlessly. He said that there is no need to worry about security. Every voter is safe, the administration will protect every vote.
