- If Jan Suraj gets about 10% of the votes, then it can cut about 5% of the votes from the vote bank of the Grand Alliance. Due to this, the vote share of the Grand Alliance will be reduced to 34%, while the NDA will benefit and its vote percentage will increase to 42%.
- On the other hand, if Jan Suraj cuts the NDA votes by 5%, the Grand Alliance can benefit. The vote share of the Grand Alliance can increase by 39% and the NDA may decrease to 37%.
- When Jan Suraj cuts equal votes from both the alliances and also attracts about 5% of the votes from small parties, the NDA seems to be benefiting overall and it can come back to power again.
‘Jan Suraj’ bets on Muslim vote
Prashant Kishore has announced to field 40 Muslim candidates in the assembly elections. Given the number of Muslim voters of Bihar and their effectiveness, this strategy is believed to be a dent in the Muslim vote bank of the Grand Alliance.
