Bihar Election 2025: Peaceful Phase 2 Voting Underway In Aurangabad’s 6 Constituencies

Polling commenced peacefully at 7 am on Tuesday for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 in the six assembly constituencies of Aurangabad district.

The constituencies include Aurangabad, Rafi Ganj, Goh, Obra, Nabinagar, and Kutumba (reserved).

Voter Enthusiasm

Significant enthusiasm for the “festival of democracy” has been observed among people from rural to urban areas. Voters, including women, young people, and the elderly, were seen standing in queues outside polling stations waiting for their turn. At many locations, voters had arrived at the centres even before polling began.

The pace of voting has been satisfactory since the morning, indicating a high levels of awareness among people about exercising their franchise.

Security And Monitoring

The district administration has made extensive security arrangements to ensure a smooth and fair polling process:

Force Deployment: An adequate number of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at all polling stations.

Heightened Vigilance: Additional vigilance is being maintained in Maoist-affected areas, with personnel from central paramilitary forces conducting regular patrols to prevent any untoward incidents.

Official Oversight: The District Election Officer and the Superintendent of Police are continuously monitoring the polling process. Senior officials have also inspected several polling stations to review the arrangements.

Polling Status And Facilities

According to the administration, the polling process is continuing in a peaceful atmosphere across the district.

No Disruptions: As of the latest reports, no information of any disruption has been received from any polling station.

EVMs: No reports of technical faults with the EVMs have been registered.

Voter Amenities: In line with Election Commission guidelines, basic facilities such as drinking water, ramps, toilets, and waiting areas have been arranged at all centres. Voters have reported that the arrangements at the polling stations are satisfactory.

The administration expects to see a further increase in the voter turnout by the evening.
