For the Bihar election 2025, the NDA has a stir on seat sharing. In the meeting of Amit Shah-Nitish Kumar, there has been an agreement between BJP-JDU. There may be a formal announcement in Navratri, but the conversation with other colleagues is still pending.
The countdown of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 has started and in the meantime the movement in the NDA camp has intensified due to seat sharing. Recently, the meeting of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given a big message in political circles. It is being said that after this meeting, there has been a consensus inside the BJP and JDU regarding seat sharing.
Who were present in the meeting
Not only senior BJP leaders were present in this meeting held in Patna, but Sanjay Jha and Vijay Chaudhary, close to Nitish Kumar, also attended. Sources say that the main agenda of this meeting was the upcoming election. The large part of the discussion focused on finalizing the seat sharing.
There will be ‘auspicious announcement’ on Navratri?
If sources are to be believed, a formal announcement of seat sharing can be made during Navratri. NDA is considering Navratri as an auspicious opportunity starting from 22 September. Through this, the coalition wants to convey solidarity and positive messages to the public. Interestingly, from this time, the benefits of new GST rates will start getting to the common people, which the NDA can make a part of its electoral negativity.
The rest of the colleagues are to celebrate
After the agreement between BJP and JDU, now the next challenge is to help other allies. Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ra), Hum of Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP (RLM) seat are demanding their important stake in seat sharing. Sources reveal that there will be an early conversation with these parties and the final formula will be prepared.
When is the Election Commission announced?
The Election Commission can announce the assembly elections dates anytime. It is believed that the announcement will be made after Durga Puja and voting will be held after Chhath Puja. That is, Bihar’s politics will be at its peak in October-November.
2020 experience, 2025 strategy
Significantly, in the 2020 assembly elections, JDU’s position was weak and BJP emerged as a big party. But the equations have changed with Nitish Kumar returning to the NDA. This time the BJP wants to present a strong alliance in every situation to weaken the challenge of the India alliance. At the same time, Nitish Kumar also wants to ensure that his party gets respectable seats so that his political hold will remain.
Will everyone be happy?
Now the big question is whether the small colleagues of NDA like Chirag, Manjhi and Kushwaha, will consent to agree or will you create new complication at the last moment? At present, it is certain that the meeting of Nitish-Shah has given a new twist to the election game and a new page of suspense has opened in Bihar politics.
