Bihar Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2025: Bihar government has launched Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana for SC, ST and Extremely Backward Class families living in old and dilapidated houses in rural areas. This scheme is for those families who do not come under the purview of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) because they have already received benefits under some scheme. The main objective of this scheme is to provide such families with a new roof and safe house.
What financial help is available in Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme?
Under the scheme, beneficiaries are given financial assistance of Rs 1,20,000, which is transferred directly to their bank account in three installments.
- Installment 1: Rs 40,000
- Installment 2: Rs 40,000
- Installment 3: Rs 40,000
- Mode of Payment: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

Who can apply for Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme?
- Applicant should live in rural area.
- The category of the applicant should be SC, ST or extremely backward class.
- The applicant’s house should be under any government cluster housing scheme built before January 1996.
- The applicant’s house should currently be in a dilapidated or dilapidated condition.
How to apply for Bihar Housing Scheme?
Application for Bihar Chief Minister Housing Scheme will have to be made offline. For which-
- Go to the Block Development Officer (BDO) office of your area.
- Take the form of Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana from the office and fill it correctly.
- Submit the filled form along with required documents to the BDO office. After submission, do not forget to take the Approval Receipt.
- Field officers can inspect the house if necessary. After successful verification the application will be approved and financial assistance will be released.
