Bihar Cabinet Decisions 2025: Before the Bihar assembly elections, the Nitish Kumar government of the state has taken many major decisions. A total of 129 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting held on Friday. The most important decisions of these are to increase the salary of ANM personnel, doubling scholarship of students of class 9-10, establishment of film and theater institutes and construction of a five-star hotel in Patna. Regarding these decisions, now the question is arising in political circles whether this step is a strategy to woo the public before the election?

Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Department Arvind Kumar Chaudhary said that the salary of contractual assistant nurse midwife (ANM) workers in urban areas has been increased from Rs 11,500 to Rs 15,000 per month. Not only this, a provision of 5% increment (annual growth) has also been made every year.
Bihar Scholarship Increase: Did students get a gift before the election?
The government has increased the scholarship for students of class 9 and 10 from Rs 1,800 to Rs 3,600. This increase has taken place under the Chief Minister’s Boys/Girls Scholarship Scheme. This decision will benefit millions of students, but at the same time the state government will also get an additional burden of about Rs 99.21 crore.
Film and TheATRE Institute: Will a new phase of film education start in Bihar?
The cabinet also announced that Bihar Film and Theater Institute will be established in the state. Film and theater studies were being felt in Bihar for a long time. By approving this institute, the government has promised to give a new direction to the youth.
5-Star Hotel in Patna: Promotion or Election Shine for Tourism?
It has also been approved to construct a five -star hotel on 3.24 acres of land in the Bankipur bus stand complex of Patna. For this, a private company in Kolkata has got a contract. In addition, the work of developing the Vishnupad temple area of Gaya on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi has been assigned to an Ahmedabad company.
Decisions for women safety and pensioners also
Under the Nari Shakti Yojana, the Griha will be converted into Shakti Sadan centers, so that women trapped in crisis can get shelter and help in the same place. Pensioners will now have to go to close Common Service Center (CSC) only for life authentication and this service will be absolutely free.
