Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: ‘Pandavas’ won’t let jungle raj return to Bihar, says CM Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Upendra Kushwaha, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Chirag Paswan to the “five Pandavas,” saying the alliance has united with a common resolve to ensure that jungle raj never returns to Bihar.

Amid his busy schedule in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi campaigned in Bihar for the second phase of the Assembly elections, addressing a rally in Sasaram in support of NDA candidate Snehlata Kushwaha. Extending greetings on the occasion of Kartik Purnima, he launched a sharp attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, accusing it of dragging Bihar into an era of lawlessness and corruption during its rule from 1990 to 2005.

He said, “During the RJD’s regime, Bihar was plunged into crime, chaos, and caste violence. Today, under the NDA government led by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar is witnessing the light of development and contributing to India’s emergence as a global power.”

Urging voters to support the NDA, CM Yogi called for strengthening good governance and building a prosperous, corruption-free Bihar.

Drawing a parallel with Dev Deepawali celebrations in Varanasi, he said, “The festival benefits the Prajapati community as the money spent on earthen lamps supports farmers, priests, gardeners, and potters. It honours faith while generating employment.”

Remembering Maa Janaki and Bihar’s revered personalities, the Chief Minister said districts like Sasaram and Rohtas represent Bihar’s proud legacy-a legacy that the RJD and Congress tarnished through corruption and misrule. He alleged that the Grand Alliance has once again “opened a shop of fraud in the name of elections” and urged people not to let them return to power.

CM Yogi also referred to a recent incident involving a daughter from Bihar who had gone to Varanasi for exam preparation and met with tragedy. He assured that the case is being investigated thoroughly, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) will be formed. “The daughter will be protected and respected. Those who harm her dignity will be sent to Yamraj’s abode,” he said firmly.

CM Yogi said that a mafia, once shielded by the SP and RJD, had terrorized Bihar and parts of Uttar Pradesh, grabbing government land to build a mansion in front of the DGP’s residence in Lucknow. “When our government came, we freed the land from encroachment, demolished his mansion, and built houses for the poor there. This morning, we handed over those homes to the beneficiaries. Only the NDA can make this possible,” he said.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the NDA alliance has come before the people with a vision to build a golden Bihar. He emphasised that Uttar Pradesh and Bihar share an inseparable cultural and spiritual bond, much like the sacred relationship between Lord Rama and Sita, also known as Maa Janaki. “In Uttar Pradesh, the rule of law prevails. People enjoy security, dignity, and opportunities for self-reliance. Development, investment, and employment are flourishing. The youth are empowered, and the mafia has been defeated. This progress must now be replicated in Bihar,” he said.

Highlighting the development journey under the NDA, CM Yogi noted that in the last two decades, Bihar has witnessed remarkable growth under Nitish Kumar’s leadership. “Rail, air, metro, and inland waterway connectivity are expanding from Bihar to Kashi and Prayagraj. Every form of development is now reaching Bihar,” he stated.

He further said that under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has gained global recognition in just 11 years. “A person from Bihar today can avail ration or Ayushman Bharat benefits anywhere in the country, be it Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, or Gujarat. That’s the strength of Modi’s governance,” he added.

CM Yogi praised the Modi government for expanding welfare schemes and honouring India’s cultural heritage. Aiming at the opposition, he said, “The Congress once denied the existence of Lord Ram. The RJD blocked the Ram Rath Yatra, and the Samajwadi Party fired upon Ram devotees in Ayodhya. Yet, the devotees stood firm, saying, Ram Lalla Hum Ayege, Lathi Goli Khayenge, Mandir Vahi Banyenge.”

He added that after the BJP’s double-engine government came to power in Uttar Pradesh, the long-awaited dream of the Ram Temple became a reality. “A grand temple for Maa Janaki is being built in Sitamarhi, and a corridor worth ₹6,155 crore will connect Ayodhya with Sitamarhi. The majestic Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Kashi stand as symbols of faith, pride, and a resurgent India,” CM Yogi concluded.
