Bihar Assembly Election: ‘No one will form government without us’, says AAP while releasing first list

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is contesting the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, on Monday, 06 October 2025, released its first list of candidates for 11 assembly seats, including two women.

Who are the candidates?

The first list includes two assembly seats in Patna district. Arun Kumar Rajak has been nominated for Phulwari Sharif and Dr. Pankaj Kumar for the Bankipur assembly seat. Dr. Meera Singh has been nominated for Begusarai and Yogi Chaupal for the Kusheshwarsthan assembly seat in Darbhanga. Amit Kumar Singh has been selected for the Taraiya assembly seat in Saran.

Meanwhile, Bhanu Bhartiya from the Kasba Assembly constituency in Purnia, Subhada Yadav from the Benipatti Assembly constituency in Madhubani, Ashraf Alam from the Kishanganj Assembly constituency, Akhilesh Narayan Thakur from the Parihar Assembly constituency in Sitamarhi, Ashok Kumar Singh from the Govindganj constituency in Motihari, and former Captain Dharamraj Singh from the Buxar Assembly constituency have been nominated.

600 biodatas submitted

Aam Aadmi Party’s Bihar State President, Rakesh Kumar Yadav, stated that approximately 600 people have submitted their biodata to receive a ticket from the party. A screening committee is vetting all candidates. Abhinav Rai, the party’s Bihar in-charge, is reviewing the candidates. Those who have been doing good work in their respective areas are being given priority. Currently, the names of 11 candidates have been finalised.

Yadav stated that these people have been actively working for the party. The second and third lists will be released soon. He added that we are contesting all 243 seats in Bihar based on the Delhi model of our party. We are contesting elections for the first time, but we are doing so with full enthusiasm. No one will form a government without our party.
