Bigg Boss Kannada 12 suspended: JDS accuses Deputy CM DK Shivakumar of interference

New Delhi: The popular reality show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 has been temporarily suspended after officials reportedly sealed the Jalewood Studios, where the show’s set was located, over alleged rule violations. All contestants have now been shifted to the Eagleton Resort, leaving fans confused and concerned about the show’s fate.

The abrupt halt to the show’s production has sparked a major political storm in Karnataka. Allegations have emerged suggesting that the suspension might have been politically motivated. The Janata Dal (Secular), in a direct accusation, has claimed that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar was behind the move to shut down the show.

Why was Bigg Boss Kannada 12 suspended?

Reports suggest that the Bigg Boss set at Jalewood Studios was built on property linked to a prominent JDS leader. Sources claim that political influence might have played a role in sealing the premises. The controversy has deepened further with speculations on social media that the action may also be connected to host Kiccha Sudeep’s open support for the BJP during the last state assembly elections.

The JDS has launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, questioning its motives and governance. In a fiery statement, the party asked, “When will you shut down the ongoing farmer suicides in the state? When will you put a lock on the constant exploitation of taxpayers’ money? When will you act against the illegal commissions, the casino scandals, and the rampant corruption within government offices?”

The post also criticised the ruling government’s alleged misuse of public funds, rising inflation, and 60% commission claims within state departments. It described the Congress administration as “inefficient and corrupt,” accusing it of silencing entertainment while ignoring real issues.
