Six-time world boxing champion MC Mary Kom has spoken out against people who claim credit for her success, saying those who were never in the ring or endured the hardships of her training have no right to take ownership of her journey.
In the latest feed from Bigg Boss 20, the boxing icon, popularly known as “Magnificent Mary”, said several people have claimed that they were responsible for making her successful despite having no role in the struggles she faced as an athlete.
“A lot of people feel they made Mary, but they were never the ones who entered the ring, took the injuries, or went through the training. To claim credit for someone else’s struggle is shameless,” Mary said.
She emphasised that her achievements were built through years of personal effort, discipline and sacrifice.
“Whatever I have achieved has come from my hard work, dedication and the sacrifices I have made along the way,” she added.
During the conversation, Rohed Khan also observed that silence is often misunderstood as weakness in today’s world. He pointed out that people may assume they can control someone simply because that person chooses not to respond, overlooking the fact that silence can also reflect patience and inner strength.
Bigg Boss is the Indian adaptation of the international Big Brother format and airs on Colors. The 20th season began on September 6 and is streaming on JioHostar.

Mary Kom holds several historic distinctions in amateur boxing. She is the only woman to have won the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to win a medal at each of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer, male or female, to win eight World Championship medals.
