TV actress Mahhi Vij entered the Bigg Boss 20 house as a contestant on September 6, 2026. Salman Khan introduced her as the 16th contestant of the show at the grand premiere episode. It has to be noted that Mahhi’s daughter Tara had come to bid adieu to her mother before the latter’s entry into the house. For the unversed, Mahhi Vij announced her divorce with husband Jay Bhanushali in January 2026. They mentioned in the statement that they are calling their marriage off on an amicable note and will continue to co-parent their three children. After Mahhi’s entry, Jay Bhanushali, who still shares a strong bond of friendship with his ex-wife, rooted for her journey.

For the unversed, Jay and Mahhi had tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2011. They participated in Nach Baliye 5 and emerged as the winner of the show. The ex-couple fostered two children, Khushi and Rajveer in 2017 and welcomed their biological daughter, Tara, in 2019.
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali keep supporting each other during their thick and thin after-divorce. In the joint statement shared by them on social media in January 2026, the couple stated, “Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s back. For the sake of our children Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer, we commit to being the best parents, the best friends, and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them. There is no villain in this story and no negativity attached to this decision.”
