Bigg Boss 20: Mahhi Vij Says She Quit Previous Show in January, Not for Reality Show

Television actress Mahhi Vij, who has entered Bigg Boss 20, has clarified that her exit from Seher Hone Ko Hai was unrelated to her participation in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show.

Mahhi said she had decided to leave the television show in January, several months before Bigg Boss 20 came her way. She explained that the decision took time to materialise as she was emotionally attached to the show and was not initially mentally prepared to leave it.

“I had quit the show long back, and this show came to me just 20 days back. So, it’s not related at all,” Mahhi told IANS, adding that she did not leave her previous show for Bigg Boss.

Speaking about joining the reality show, Mahhi said she believes there is a right time for everything and felt that the time had come for her to try something new. She noted that although she had often been rumoured to participate in Bigg Boss, she had previously preferred watching the show rather than becoming a contestant.

Describing herself, Mahhi said she is kind-hearted, loving and fiercely loyal, but also short-tempered. She said she considers herself a good friend to those close to her but can also stand firmly against people who wrong her.

“I don’t like to rub people the wrong way, and I don’t want the same for myself. The rest, I don’t know what will happen inside. Maybe a different Mahhi will be seen,” she said.

On the perception that Bigg Boss can revive an actor’s career, Mahhi said there are several ways to rebuild an acting career, although the reality show can play an important role in changing a contestant’s public identity.

She said the show has helped audiences discover people they may not have known earlier and can significantly change their identity and visibility.
