Bigg Boss 19’s Kunickaa Sadanand opens up on custody battle: ‘My husband kidnapped our son’

New Delhi: The latest season of Bigg Boss 19 continues to reveal not just the dynamics inside the house but also the untold stories of its contestants. Viewers are getting a deeper look into the personal lives of celebrities, many of whom are speaking candidly about their journeys beyond fame.

In one heartfelt interaction, actress Kunickaa Sadanand reflected on her early years and the hardships she endured. She spoke about the struggles she faced as a young woman, including a difficult custody battle. Sharing her experience with fellow contestant Pranit, Kunickaa recalled, “This goes back 42 years. At that time, women had very few rights. I remember an incident where the judge threw my case file at me. I would travel from Mumbai to Delhi every two weeks to meet my son, as per the order, but my husband never brought him. Eventually, he even kidnapped him. I’ve been facing challenges since I was 16.”

Her honesty shed light on the kind of gender bias prevalent in the legal system back then and how she battled against it despite the odds. In another conversation with Zeishan Quadri, Kunickaa reminisced about working alongside Manoj Bajpayee in Swabhimaan, long before he became a household name. She fondly mentioned, “Even today, if I call him, he picks up on the first ring. Success hasn’t changed him at all.”

Zeishan, who himself has worked with Bajpayee in Gangs of Wasseypur, added to her words, saying that Bajpayee is known for supporting hardworking artists and never hesitates to stand up for them in public. With each episode, Bigg Boss 19 is not only delivering its trademark drama but also offering audiences raw, real glimpses into the lives of its contestants—making this season more personal and emotional than ever.
