Mumbai: The Bigg Boss house saw a dramatic and emotional turn of events in episode 66. Mridul Tiwari, the current captain, was left helpless and emotional after housemates refused to do their duties. The episode saw him tear up and express his frustration. Shehbaz and Malti tried to console him.

The duo got into a heated argument. Mirdual told the actress that his Bigg Boss pay cheque was more than her income. As the fight escalated, Farrhana refused to perform her household duties. Earlier, Tanya Mittal also refused to work under Mridul, stating that he was spreading rumours about her. Mridual handled the issue calmly. He cleaned the living room himself. Shehbaz Badesha, Pranit More, Gaurav Khanna, and Abhishek Bajaj, joined in.

After the housemates repeatedly refused to perform their duties, Mridul broke down. He expressed his helplessness. He said, “Arey itna kamzor kar diya hain 2–3 dino mei inhone, main subah uthta hoon na, poora garden saaf karke aata hoon, poora bedroom saaf karta hoon, kooda badalta hoon, koi kehta hai aata laga de, aata lagata hoon, bartan karde bartan dhul ke de raha hoon, sabse request kar raha hoon. (They have made me so weak in just 2-3 days. When I wake up in the morning, I clean the garden, clean the bedroom, and even change the dustbin. If someone asks me to knead the dough, I do it. I do the dishes. I request everyone.)” He stated that he was called weak by Kunickaa.
Following his venting out, Shehbaz and Malti try to console him. Later, housemates turn against Tanya for not making Farrhana understand she needs to do their duties. Amaal Mallik jumps into the issue and lashes out at Tanya. Kunickaa and Mridul also turn against each other over the nomination. Once again, Kunickaa calls Mridul “weak”.
The housemates lock horns over food, and later, Bigg Boss gave them a task to earn the captaincy contendership. However, Abhishek Bajaj and Ashnoor Kaur were not allowed to participate.
