The government has shared important information regarding EPFO 3.0 in the Lok Sabha. Under this new system, claim settlement has been speeded up, pension payment system has been improved and the procedures have been simplified. Minister of State for Labor and Employment Shobha Karandlaje said that through EPFO 3.0, services are being made digital, so that people can get more facilities in less time.
According to the government, the Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS) has now been fully implemented. From January 1, 2025, all EPFO offices are working on this system. Due to this, more than 70 lakh pensioners are getting pension on time and without any mistake every month.
Claims are being settled in auto mode
A big improvement has also been seen in the matter of claim settlement. Till February 25, 2026, more than 3.52 crore claims up to Rs 5 lakh have been settled in auto mode. In the current financial year, 71.37% of the total advance claims were settled without manual, in which about Rs 51,620 crore was paid.

The process of EPF account transfer has now become much easier for employees changing jobs. Till February 25, 2026, more than 70.54 lakh transfer claims were started automatically, in which the employee or employer had no role. After completion of KYC, approval from the old or new employer is no longer necessary. Apart from this, more than 21.39 lakh employees submitted transfer claims without the help of the employer.
Claim being settled in 3 days
EPFO 3.0 is a major digital reform, which aims to simplify processes and reduce paperwork. Now most of the services are available on a single platform. The most important thing is that earlier, where it used to take up to 20 days to settle claims, now the same work is being completed in less than 3 days.
