What was the fare limit till now?
Under the rules applicable from December 2025, the government had fixed the maximum fare on the basis of distance. For example, the fare for flights up to 500 km could not have been more than Rs 7,500. At the same time, on routes of 1,000 to 1,500 km like Delhi-Mumbai, there was a maximum limit of Rs 15,000. There was a limit of Rs 18,000 for flights longer than 1,500 km. From March 23, all these restrictions will end and prices will be completely dependent on the market.
