New Delhi: Indian Railways has made important changes in the operations of the Kalaburagi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express. These changes have been made keeping in mind the everyday problems of the passengers and will come into effect from January 1, 2026.
Why was the train timing changed?
Till now this train used to run very early in the morning, which caused problems, especially for the passengers coming from far-away places. Keeping this feedback in mind, Railways has extended the departure time so that people can reach the station without haste.
Now what time will the train leave from Kalaburagi?
According to the new timing, Vande Bharat Express will leave from Kalaburagi Junction at 6:10 am. Earlier this train used to run at 5:15, which was inconvenient for many passengers.
What has changed in routes and stops?
Railways has tried to make the route more useful. Now this train will stop at important stations like Yadgir, Raichur, Manthralayam Road, Guntakal, Anantapur, and Yelahanka. Along with this, Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Niwas has also been added to the stoppage, which will directly benefit the devotees and local passengers.
What is the new timing of the return from Bengaluru?
The train returning from Bengaluru to Kalaburagi will now depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 2:40 pm and reach Kalaburagi at around 10:45 pm. This will make travel more comfortable for day commuters.
Has there been any change in the fare?
At present no change has been made in the fare. The fare for an AC chair car will be around Rs 1475, and for an executive chair car, it will be around Rs 2710.
