Under the leadership of Yogi government, Lucknow completed 62,271 rooftop solar installations and gave UP a record of more than 3 lakh installations. 50,000 installations were completed in 43 days. Districts like Varanasi, Kanpur, Bareilly and Agra also performed brilliantly.
Lucknow. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, has made a new record in the field of solar energy. So far, 62,271 rooftop solar installations have been completed in Lucknow under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGY). This number is the highest among all the districts of the state. This achievement of Lucknow has made an important contribution in the entire state achieving the big target of more than 3 lakh installations. This is a clear example of the strong monitoring and people-centric policies of the Yogi government.
Lucknow on top, effect of teamwork
On the instructions of Yogi Government, the team of Lucknow District Administration, UPNEDA and Discom achieved this feat by working continuously. This figure of 62,271 installations has become an inspiration for other districts and shows how effective the government’s efforts are in taking solar energy to every home.
Strong performance of other big districts
After Lucknow, many districts have also done excellent work.
- Varanasi: 26,208 installations
- Kanpur Nagar: 18,562 installations
- Bareilly: 12,952 installations
- Agra: 11,033 installations
Apart from this, districts like Prayagraj (9,719), Rae Bareli (8,616), Jhansi (7,674), Barabanki (6,477) and Gorakhpur (6,262) also contributed significantly to the success of the scheme. Appointment of POs in all 75 districts and doubling the monthly rate of installation in 23 districts ensured uniform and rapid development across the state.
Record speed- 50,000 installations in 43 days
Under the guidance of Yogi government, the pace of solar installation has increased six times. While it took 270 days to complete the first 2.5 lakh installations, the last 50,000 installations were completed in just 43 days. Due to this rapid progress, millions of families are getting the benefit of free electricity, lower electricity bills and additional income. Today Uttar Pradesh has joined the top-3 states of the country in terms of solar energy, which realizes the green development model of CM Yogi.
