Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh government has decided to make the film ‘Godaan’ tax free in the state with the aim of spreading the message of cow conservation widely to the society. The film, produced and directed by Vinod Chaudhary, was released in theaters across the country on Friday. This decision taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reflects the government’s policy in which cow safety and conservation has been given social and administrative priority. The government believes that through this film the message of cow protection will reach the common people effectively and will help in connecting the society with the seriousness of this issue.
More viewers will be able to watch the film due to it being tax free
After making the film tax free in Uttar Pradesh, the ticket rates of the film will come down, so that more and more viewers will be able to watch it. The aim of the government is to make this film made on an important subject like cow conservation, reach as many people as possible.
Policy of strict and stringent action against cow smuggling
As soon as he assumed the post of Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath had adopted a strict stance on the issues of cow smuggling and cow slaughter. Cow smugglers were arrested on a large scale and clear instructions were given to the administration that there should not be laxity at any level in cases related to cow slaughter and smuggling. This policy is being strictly implemented even today.
Chief Minister Yogi is fully committed to cow conservation
The proof of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s sensitivity towards cows and commitment towards conservation is that more than 7,500 cow shelters have been established across the state in the last nine years. With this, more than 12 lakh destitute cattle have been given protection. To make cow service and protection more effective, Cow Protection Committees have been formed in each district. In all the districts, District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police have been made its nodal officers.

The producer-director of the film had earlier met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this nearly two-hour film, the religious, social and practical importance of the cow has been presented effectively, so that the audience can be made aware of cow conservation.
