Season 2 of the Big Cricket League (BCL), which created a new enthusiasm for Indian cricket, started with a spectacular curtain raiser event in Delhi. The event was a unique confluence of prominent personalities from the worlds of entertainment, politics, business, sports and entrepreneurship, becoming one of the most talked about pre-season events of Indian cricket. The event was attended by Padmashree Hansraj Hans, Padmashree Jaspinder Narula, MP Chandra Prakash Joshi, MLA Tarvinder Singh Marwah, Kabaddi star Rahul Chaudhari, Navraj Hans, Sachin Joshi, Girish Malik, EaseMyTrip co-founder Rikant Pitti, Wave Group Chairman Rajinder Singh Chaddha, Vestige owner Kanwarbir Singh, Dr Ortho founder Sanjeev Juneja, Liberty Group CEO Adesh Gupta and International Veterans like Satyan Bhatia, MD of Marketing Corporation participated.

BCL Season 2 date announced

The dates of BCL Season 2 were announced at the event. The league will be played in March 2026, in which big international cricketers will return to the field. The first season featured stars like Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan, and the next season will see more exciting matches with even bigger names. The teams playing in this league are Mumbai Marines, UP Brij Stars, Northern Challengers, Southern Spartans, MP Tigers and the new team Gujarat Diamonds. Season 2 will see the league reach millions of homes with more international players, better entertainment and wider broadcast coverage.

Dilip Vengsarkar said a big thing

League Commissioner Dilip Vengsarkar said, ‘I am really excited to see the talent in Season 2, as it is a great platform for cricketers from all over India to showcase their talent as they did in Season 1, and I am sure that Season 2 will be a huge success.’

Founder and Chairman, Mr. Rudra Pratap Singh said, ‘Big Cricket League was created on the belief that talent is more present than traditional systems. Season 2 represents a stronger, more structured phase of that approach, where we are creating opportunities for aspiring cricketers to compete alongside proven professionals on a truly competitive platform.’

On the other hand, Chief Patron Mr. Punit Singh said, ‘What we saw at the Curtain Raiser was not just the beginning of a new season, but the growth of a movement. Big Cricket League continues to build a bridge between ambition and opportunity, and we are committed to strengthening this ecosystem in Season 2. Apart from this, CEO and co-founder Anirudh Chauhan said, ‘The response to our first season gave us the confidence to think bigger and act faster. Season 2 is designed to be more competitive, more structured and more impactful with a clear focus on professionalism, player development and fan engagement.’

Mumbai Marines won the first season

Many players from the first season were also present, like Manpreet Gony, Faiz Fazal, Anureet Singh and Ishwar Pandey. Whereas, Mumbai Marines won the title under the captaincy of Irfan Pathan. The inaugural season achieved a reach of 206 million and 16.1 million live viewers. More than 60 emerging players selected from across the country attracted everyone’s attention by playing with the stars. BCL is the world’s first Pro-Am cricket league, where professional and emerging players play together. The format offers viewers a unique blend of exciting sports and entertainment, with the league fast becoming India’s most vibrant cricket property. The wait for season 2 has now become more exciting.
