Lucknow. Following clear and strict instructions from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, preparations for large-scale action against Chinese manjhas have started in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister has clearly said that any death caused by Chinese Manjha will no longer be considered an ordinary accident but a serious incident like murder. He has directed that strict legal action should be taken against every person associated with the production, sale, storage and transportation of Chinese Manja.

Intensive checking of wholesalers, online suppliers and warehouses

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, a thorough investigation of wholesalers, online suppliers, transport channels and warehouses will be done in all the districts of the state. Orders have been given to conduct a special operation to completely eliminate the illegal network. The government has a clear aim that not even a single reel of Chinese Manjha should be sold or stored anywhere in the state.

Nodal officer in every district, arrangement for 24×7 monitoring

To prevent Chinese Manjha, a nodal officer is being appointed in each district, who will be given the responsibility of 24×7 monitoring. Illegal sales through online platforms, social media groups and informal digital channels will also be closely monitored so that its supply can be stopped through any means.

Campaign will be linked to public cooperation, awareness program in schools and colleges

The government is also working towards connecting this campaign with public cooperation. Special awareness programs will be run in schools and colleges to tell children and youth that Chinese Manjha is not only banned but also deadly.

Warning to markets and kite sellers, strict action against negligence

Markets and kite vendors have been given a clear warning that if Chinese kites are found anywhere, immediate and strict action will be taken. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also said that if any incident occurs in any area due to Chinese manjha, not only the seller but also the local police and administration will be held responsible.
