Big blow to Pakistan, dreaming of beating IPL, now these players are leaving PSL

PSL vs IPL: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has recently given a big statement regarding Pakistan Super League (PSL). After the meeting of the Board of Governors at Gaddafi Stadium, Naqvi said that PSL has now become the best market for investment in cricket and it is soon on its way to becoming the number one league in the world. At present the world’s biggest cricket league is the Indian Premier League. But Mohsin Naqvi believes that he will soon come out on top. But amidst this big claim, he has also suffered a big setback.

Mohsin Naqvi’s big statement

Naqvi cited strong investor interest as proof of PSL’s rapid growth. He said, ‘PSL has now joined the best market for investment. The time is not far when PSL will become the number one cricket league in the world. Along with this, while mentioning the record bid in the franchise auction for the 11th season of PSL, he emphasized on the increasing popularity of the league.

However, in the meantime Mohsin Naqvi has suffered a big blow. Two players of Karachi Kings, Khuzaima Bin Tanveer and Muhammad Wasim have suddenly left the team and gone back to United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has invited him home, so that he can participate in the country’s domestic 50 over (D50) tournament. This decision of UAE is a big blow for Pakistan Cricket Board. Both players were instructed to immediately return to UAE and join their home teams. According to reports, he may return to PSL after playing two matches in the D50 tournament.

Tension increased in Pakistan Super League

This incident has come at a challenging time for PSL. The league is facing a direct conflict with the IPL, due to which many players have left the PSL and gone to the IPL. Apart from this, internal problems like petroleum crisis in the country and tense situation on the Afghanistan border are also affecting the league.
