Gujarat Farmer Relief: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced a relief package of Rs 10,000 crore after crops were damaged due to unseasonal rains in Gujarat. Along with this, the state government will start purchasing groundnut, moong, urad and soybean at support price from November 9.
Gandhinagar: Crops have been damaged due to unseasonal rain in Gujarat. In such a situation, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced a relief package of Rs 10,000 crore for farmers. The Chief Minister said that this year there has been such unseasonal rain in Gujarat, which has not been seen in the last 20 years. Due to this rain, the crops of farmers in many districts of the state have been badly affected. The Chief Minister and state government ministers visited different districts and met the farmers and took stock of the crops and understood the condition of the farmers. CM said that the government is closely watching and understanding the problems and suffering of the farmers.
Relief assistance of Rs 10 thousand crores
The Chief Minister said that in view of the huge loss suffered by the farmers, the state government has announced a relief package of about Rs 10,000 crore. This package has been designed to provide financial help to the farmers so that they can resume their farming and life.
Procurement of crops at support price from November 9
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also said that the government will start purchasing groundnut, moong, urad and soybean from farmers at support price (MSP) from November 9. The state government will spend more than Rs 15,000 crore on this purchase. The aim of this step is to provide fair prices to the farmers for their crops.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said, ‘Farmers are our food providers. The government is responsible for their economic security and well-being. The state government was with the farmers earlier also, is still there today and will remain so in future also. They will be given all kinds of assistance.
