After mutual agreement on ceasefire on Friday, Taliban accused Pakistan of carrying out air strike in Paktika province of Afghanistan. Pakistan carried out air strikes in several districts, in which three Afghanistan cricketers were killed. Afghanistan Cricket Board also confirmed the death of three of its cricketers in Pakistan’s attack and expressed deep grief over their death. While sharing the post on X, ACB wrote-
This tragic incident took place in Urgun district of Paktika province, where 8 people including Afghan cricketers Kabir, Sibgatullah and Haroon were killed in the attack by Pakistan, while 7 people were injured. It is being told that these players had gone to play a match in Sharana, the capital of Paktika, when this attack took place.

Afghanistan’s tough stance against Pakistan
After this incident, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has taken a firm stand against Pakistan. He has decided to withdraw from the upcoming T20 series. This series was to be played in late November. Apart from ACB, Rashid Khan wrote on X-
I express my condolences to the civilians killed in Pakistan’s air strike on Afghanistan. Children, women and young cricketers lost their lives in this attack. This is a very wrong act. In which common people have been targeted. I welcome the decision of ACB to withdraw its name from the series against Pakistan. I stand with my people in this bad time. For us our country comes before anything else.
